So there's been a push for me to get a "personal" blog where I could, supposedly, write about all the "interesting" things in my day-to-day life.

I can promise the posts will be personal and about my day-to-day life but I assure you there will be nothing interesting about them.

I know I joke about running for Mayor in my region but I’m actually serious about this. The election isn’t until November 2010 so I have a lot of time to scour the internet and delete any pictures or posts which could be incriminating (thank GOD).

I intended on running in the last election but completely forgot to get 50 signatures needed for official candidacy. I paid the deposit, though. That’s 250 dollars I’ll never see again…

I maintain that I’m not going to win but our current mayor is a joke and from watching the debates during the last election I am fairly certain I can run rings around the competition (the same 4 old guys run for mayor every election. Sometimes a new person will pop up but they’re usually a hippie and we’re a farming community.) The candidates had to fill out a questionnaire for our local paper and two of them wrote under the Favourite Book? question, “I don’t read, movies are better.” TWO PEOPLE HAD THE SAME DAMN ANSWER ABOUT NOT READING!

Here’s an idea of what I’d be in charge of if I were to win, corn is our largest demographic and our most pressing issue has been filling potholes.
